Bypassing the IT Department with Business Intelligence Solutions

Jason Strate, Solutions Architect Pragmatic Works

Business Intelligence (BI) solutions need to move at the speed of business. Unfortunately, in most cases, they are stuck working at the speed in which IT resources can be allocated. What would you do, if I told you that you could deploy an entire BI infrastructure in a couple hours and start loading data into it by the end of the day. All this without having to ask the IT department for any assistance. In this session, we'll demonstrate how to leverage Microsoft tools and the Azure cloud environment to build out the BI solution that you need. In the time of the session, you'll gain an understanding of the capabilities of Azure and how you can start building a new BI proof-of-concept for your managers next week. All this without having to ask the IT department for anything.

Jason Strate is a SQL Server Solutions Architect with Pragmatic Works. He is also a Microsoft SQL Server MVP and MCM. He has over 15 years of experience developing, architecting, and managing data platforms. Jason writes, blogs, and presents on SQL Server.
