Data Analysis and Visualization Using R and Python/Pandas

Ravin Kumar, Manufacturing Engineer National Oilwell Varco

A live demo of data analysis and visualization using R and Python/Pandas and web visualization with D3.js

About Ravin:
I'm a manufacturing engineer at National Oilwell Varco, a large corporation that manufactures Oil Rigs, and I'm using the data warehoused here to pull insights to improve the manufacturing processes, and create visualizations to showcase the state of the business. I come from a Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering background and fell into the data science aspect when I needed better tools than Excel to answer the questions that were asked of me.

Upcoming Speakers

Our September meeting is on WEDNESDAY the 19th!

Kevin Kline will be presenting Query Tuning Surprises for the Advanced SQL Developer in person!

Note out new location in Irvine!
